MGM Studios

There must have been something in the air because we managed to get up reasonably early, have breakfast and make it to MGM for just after 10 o'clock.

The first show we went to was Bear in the big blue house. It was a re-enactment of the show on television with a woman talking us through the show. Connor's eyes lit up when he realised what and where he was. He was in toddler heaven. We met Bear, Ojo, Tutter, Treelo, Pip and Pop - even Luna.

The show lasted half an hour.  We decided we wanted to be rich so we joined the queue for
Who wants to be a millionaire.

This was the game show we see on American television. The only difference was that we were the contestants. You answer every question and the person with the most points out of the audience gets a chance in the hot seat. Alison and dad got into the top ten once, at different times during the show.

After the show we each got an ice-cream and then went on the Great Movie ride - it was a boat ride taking you through scenes from the greatest films ever made. We saw scenes from "Alien," "Casablanca," "Raiders of the Lost Ark," and "The Wizard of Oz".

Before leaving we all rode the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith - this was a really fast ride - I liked it

We decided to head back to the hotel for Connor's afternoon nap - where we chilled.

(the clampets on tour)

We arrived back at MGM at around 5 o'clock when we headed straight for the Indiana Jones show - it was excellent because it showed you how they did all the stunts.

Star Tours was the next ride - It was a simulation space ride. It had all kinds of cool robots on the way up to the ride.

After star tours we went to the Muppet 3D show - it was excellent and very funny because you wore 3D glasses which made the Muppets look like they were really
alive and in front of you.

We heard that the show "FANTASMIC" was really good, but we were also told that in order to get a good seat we would have to get there 2 hours before it started. Dad decided that we would miss dinner and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror if we did that. So we didn't - bodgit and leggit here we come.

Emma and Alison went on the tower of terror first while me and dad looked after Connor. This ride looked to spooky for me so Dad and Emma went on the ride while the rest of us organised dinner. Here is the official description for the ride -

" Picture if you will. The abandoned Hollywood Tower Hotel where doom is your final destination. Now the world’s most intense elevator ride is more terrifying than ever before. You’ll fear every drop as you descend 13 gut-wrenching, faster-than-gravity stories again and again and again."

You see what I mean about it being spooky - I'm not daft.

After dinner we went to see Fantasmic. Sorcerer Mickey takes on some wicked villains in one of the most explosive nighttime extravaganzas ever. It’s an action-packed showdown between good and evil with lasers, lights, pyro, and dancing waters, all set to favorite Disney music.

We had to stand up at the back of the arena. I was on dad's shoulders, Connor was on Alison's shoulders and Emma was going bonkers with her Polaroid camera.

Out of a possible 20 pictures taken with both the digital camera and Emma's Polaroid - only one came out goodish.

This was off the digital camera. Emma will gladly show you here collection of pitch black pictures - if you ask her nicely.

That's it. we went back to the hotel and flew out the next day. I hope you enjoyed my point of view of Disney.

Kids if you're out there and reading this then all I have to say is

" you gotta go to Disney World at least once in your lifetime - it was far better than I expected "
