Last full day today, walked down from the Embassy to Union Station.
It is about as far from the Embassy as I’d want to walk;
it took me about an hour plus you do get a better feel for the place when you walk.

Inside Union Station

Union station was better than I expected, it’s been renovated and its now quite beautiful.

There are shops, restaurants and cafes all over.

The train side of the station is much like an
Airport, with check-in desks and gates etc. etc.

Capitol Building

I walked from there past the Capitol building where the US government sits.

Capitol Building

This is where the press sets up for interviews.

Spacecraft

Along the mall to the Air and Space Museum.

Aircraft

This building is crammed with full size aircraft,

Rockets

Spacecraft, Missiles,

Intelsat ad

Interactive rooms, old wartime footage and information about flying various types of aircraft.
I spent two good hours there.
I gave the Sculpture Gallery a call before leaving back to the Embassy.
